Novi eTwinning projekt: AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER: REWRITING THE ENDING OF A FAIRYTALE

Prihvaćen je naš zahtjev za uključivanje u eTwinning projekt: I ŽIVJELI SU SRETNO DO KRAJA ŽIVOTA - PISANJE NOVOG ZAVRŠETKA BAJKE (AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER : REWRITING THE ENDING OF A FAIRYTALE). U projektnim aktivnostima surađivat ćemo s učenicima iz  cijele Europe, a voditeljica projekta u našoj školi  je učiteljica engleskog jezika Ana Bahat.

Before we start the project, a pre-survey on students about the fairytales will be applied. Each country will select a fairytale. On twinspace, the best fairtytale will be voted. The selected fairytale will be read in the classroom by each partner school. The students are supposed to write a new ending for the fairytale. While doing it, they will draw pictures to depict the scenes. As a final product of the project, we will prepare a digital e-book for fairytales in which each country will have a section. Each country will vote the best ending for the fairytale. The students will act out the fairytale in the classroom. Lastly, the post-survey will be applied to the students.

AIMS

- Improving their writing skills.
- Expressing themselves clearly via drama
- Using the grammatical rules of English correctly
- Interacting between different cultures and schools
- Practising "Simple Past Tense" in the fairytale writing
- Communicating with partner schools
- Using technology more efficiently ( Web 2.0 tools)

WORK PROCESS

-Preparing a project plan
-Applying a pre-survey on students about the fairytales
- Introducing ourselves and the schools on twinspace
-Preparing a web page for our project on twinspace
-Using web 2.0 tools to enrich the content
- Advising a fairy tale by each partner school 
- Voting to decide on the fairy tale to work on ( Choosing only one out of many)
- Reading the original fairy tale in the class by each school
- Writing a new ending for the fairytale
- Drawing pictures to depict the scenes 
-Creating an e-book of the fairy tale 
(Each county flag and their names are added for their fairy tales in the e-book)
- Voting for the best ending
-Acting out the new fairy tales in the class
- Making students aware of e-security topics
-Applying a post-survey on students about the project outcomes

EXPECTED RESULTS

- Preparing an e-book for the fairytales
- Using Twinspace as a communication and interaction tool
- Making students aware of e-security issues
- Preparing a project journal on Public Twinspace
